Some people are going to overpay you in the food business.
Perhaps you charge them the wrong price, completely by accident, and they never check their bills – but you notice it later.
Perhaps they double-pay an invoice.
Perhaps they undercharged you and didn’t notice.
Perhaps they shipped too much product.
All of the above have happened to me, multiple times, over the last twenty years.
I have to be completely honest: in the past, there were times when I let some of those things ‘go’.
Well, the business that I allowed that to happen in is now closed.
So, we can have a conversation about cause & effect, or, we could agree on this:
There’s a right way, and a wrong way. You’ll have to pay for either one sooner or later.
