For many years my business struggled, and I thought that doing more would save it.
It got to the point where I had taken on so much responsibility, that when it closed, ‘me doing too much’ was one of the fundamental reasons why.
At the same time I tried to do more to boost my income ‘on the side’, by starting more projects.
Those didn’t work out either. It wasn’t the right time, and I didn’t delegate enough.
It can be hard to think about building, growing, and gaining by means of subtraction, but the truth is that the removal of things is what’s most often needed.
Strip away all people, things, and tasks that are not helping you achieve your most important goals, and what you’re left with is focus on what matters most.
