The other day a tree guy came to my house. He looked exactly like … a guy who owns a tree business.
Neatly tucked button-down shirt, khakis, comfortable hiking shoes, hi-tech sunglasses, pickup truck, sandy hair, weathered skin, big smile, and grip as strong as an arm-wrestler.
He took one look at the ‘oak’ tree (so I thought) that needs trimming and said ‘It’s a Crimson King Maple.’
No gimmicks. He just knows trees, plain and simple. I gather, one can only become a tree expert from years of working on trees.
There’s something nice, from a clients’ point of view, about simply being clear about who you are and what you do.
If you do trees, and I can see that you only do trees, I’m going to trust you to work on my tree.
