I’ve been working one-on-one with clients for almost twenty years, and, although most of them love working with me, there are a few who … don’t.
Even though it’s just a handful, in one way or another, I really let them down.
One even happened recently.
Each time that happens, I learn something.
Sometimes, I get the chance to try again with that person.
Sometimes, I don’t.
Perfection is a myth in customer service, as it is with just about anything, but I can tell you this:
Even though I know I can never be perfect, letting someone down feels like I’m being gutted with a scythe.
