A friend of mine told me that the other day.
Not so easy to practice.
Try it. You’ll start to notice how many people are angry, sad, & afraid.
The catch is, the most difficult moments to be compassionate are the ones when you can make the most difference.
I had one the other day. I got an email that was ruder than any I have ever seen before.
I could not figure out how to reply without lowering myself down to the sender’s level.
I thought about it for 2 days. Every possible reply kept including something argumentative.
In the end, I simply said "Message received."
Maybe compassion doesn’t always have to be a hug. Maybe sometimes, it’s simply to let things be.
